Making Mega in Morocco

Hi y’all! So I just got back from a Iligan and Cebu; and yesterday (technically) was the AlDub MEGA cover launch that I was not able to attend to. I reached Manila at around 10:30 in the evening and I was actually planning (believe it or not) to run to SM Aura to catch the second screening (that started at 9pm) but then it would take me 40 minutes to reach the venue according to Waze. So, ano pa ang aabutan ko? I decided to go home and just take a rest! But! There’s a good news!

Okay before you start reading this blog post, I want you to know that I wrote this entry on the first week of October, and the video you’ll see below was made on the last week of September– everything was pretty much all set to publish. But! On October 5th (the day the cover was released), just when I was about to post the entry, my blog decided to malfunction. I wasn’t able to access my blog for two weeks due to some layout issues. I reported the problem to my web host and gladly they were able to fix the logging-in issue. It was reported that the problem started with my blog theme so they had to put everything back to default, as you can see, for me to gain access to my dashboard. Anyway, when I finally got to access my blog, I noticed some posts went missing, including this Making Mega in Morocco draft. I got so pissed and decided not to post an entry about our Morocco shoot anymore. The next day, I reported the problem to my web host again just to check if they could do something about it. And just this evening, before I hop in the plane to Manila, I got an email from them saying they were able to retrieve my missing drafts! Woo hooo! Talk about perfect timing.

And that’s the good news– well, for me.

So here it is! I did not edit the content anymore so what you are about to read is the original draft. (And it might confuse you a bit!) Just imagine you are reading this on the day the cover was released, which was three weeks ago. Oh and forget what happened this evening at the MEGA launch, just act like you have NO idea about what happened in Morocco–AT ALL.

pabebe

What’s up, guys? I am feeling extra productive today so I decided to write a Sunday Currently entry before I hit the sheets. Though technically I am typing this at the witching hour of Monday already.. so.. it’s Monday currently, I guess. Anyway, Happy National Pabebe Wave day!

CURRENTLY

Reading
The exposition of “Pabebe Wave” on Wikipedia. So ito pala..

Pabebe wave is a term coined by the Philippine media to describe a gesture where a person imitates the waving movement done by beauty contestants in the Miss Universe pageant. It was popularized by AlDub in the “Juan For All, All for Juan” segment of the Philippine noontime show Eat Bulaga! A deviation from a beauty-queen wave gesture, it was exchanged between Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza after its initiation by the latter’s character, Yaya Dub. Now popular among Filipinos, it also caught the attention of the world through several media platforms.

Beauty contestants talaga? Hindi ba pwedeng maarte at mahiyaing klase ng pagkaway lang? Eh kashe nga pabwebwe.

Writing
A Christmas song. Okay, so while I was going through my Twitter mentions earlier, I saw a couple of tweets from some people asking me to write a song for Christmas– and I thought it is a really good idea! So while I was having my late dinner (just a few minutes ago), I started composing a piece of poetry with relevance to Christmas. And! I was able to finish it (not to brag pero sige na let me brag a little, haha!) in less than 30 minutes. Seriously, I was able to compose a tune in some parts as well. Again, not to brag but I really thought I had to share it with you guys. Hahahaha bakit ba! Well uhm I guess being happy makes your brain produce inventive ideas. KEME!

Listening
Fallingforyou – 1975

Love this song. I think this is the perfect hour to listen to it.

Thinking
about a lot of things.. as in, ang dami. Do you ever get this kind of feeling na, you think you have been thinking about a lot lately, and you began to think of what to think first and what not to think??? Now I am thinking how many times did I use the word think in this ‘thinking’ section. Para bang ganito lang…

marc

O diba, #paano?

Smelling
*sniff sniff* …nothing

Wishing
for all of us to have a great week; less negative vibes and less toxic people to come in contact with. (Lakas maka-germs?) Ang bilis, it’s already the last week of September. Magpapasko na mga bes, 90 days nalang before Christmas if I am not mistaken. Next thing we know pasko na bukas. Charot!

Hoping
for a productive week for my blogger/writer-self. I think I need to get back to writing and reading. I seldom get the desire to do such things anymore for some reason, but also for some odd reason, I am feeling the hunger to write at this moment. Parang ayoko ng matulog, I want to write all night long just like before!

Wearing
my usual pantulog, and a furry pink headband

Loving
what I did today! I went to Gabay Guro Grand Gathering this afternoon at SM Mall of Asia Arena in celebration of the World Teachers’ Day. Baste, Ryzza and I along with EB Babes and That’s My Bae prepared a little dance number for all the teachers. (Thank you Smart PLDT for having us!) After that, I invited Kuya Mike and Ate Pat to have ramen with me and go for a little shopping at the mall. Aliw lang, gotta love Sundays. Hehe again, Happy Teacher’s day again to all the teachers out there! Thank you for all the knowledge and for everything you have shared with us. I hope you all continue to teach and inspire today’s kids and future generations. Mabuhay ang mga guro!

Wanting
to get a back massage so bad.

Needing
a user-friendly photo editor for Mac or iPhone! (Yung libre! Kuripot ako!) An editor where I can just easily put fancy texts using fancy fonts with fancy effects. Tweet me app suggestions!

Feeling
happy and inspired. (There are a lot of reasons to feel happy and inspired, mind you.) And I hope this feeling would last for a long time. I don’t know why but I rarely get this kind of legit jovial feeling.. I am very sure the SIGN that I got from the Lord few days ago got me feeling this way. I really cannot tell much about what happened but it really was stupefying and somehow horrifying but it did make me realize a few major things. I know it happened for a reason and I like to believe it was THE wake up call.

You know.. sometimes the choices we make in life that we think are the wrong ones turn out to be the best ones. It may not make sense now, but it will– eventually. Have a great week y’all!

P.S. Pwede niyo ng gisingin ang Green Day sa Sabado.

5-day US Trip – Part 1 (Adele & Coldplay)

So… this entry was supposed to be up two weeks ago but due to my incredible carelessness and stupidity, I accidentally clicked something that wiped out everything that I wrote. (I was too close to finishing it, Diyos ko!) So this, what you’re currently reading, is a brand new US trip entry. (Just the first part! To follow na yung second!) It is sad because I cannot construct the same content that I wrote in this first– which is more comprehensive. I could still feel the exasperation on what happened–damang dama ko pa hanggang ngayon! Buhos na buhos yung emosyon ko doon tapos ganon nalang?!?! Talagang may mga bagay talaga sa buhay natin na kahit ibigay natin lahat, sa huli mapupunta lang din sa wala. Life is never fair. (Hugot!) Oh well, I blame myself for it. I did the same mistake in some of my previous posts and I guess I never really learn(ed) my lesson. Hindi lang isang beses ito!

tumblr_nvn7decgrt1s8m94ko9_500

Actually thrice na nga eh… Anyway, I am here to recount about my 5-day US trip few weeks ago (August 20-26). I hope I can still recall and write about everything that we did in full detail. I suppose you all know the reason why I went to America (the main objective, rather) but for some of you who does not have an idea as to why I went there. Ayun na nga.. Waaaaah!!! I am back! I am back after a week away from work; I got back from the States last Friday and I went right back to work the next day. It was a short break but it was woooooorth it. I was there for five days but I can say that the enjoyment that I had during those days equate with the level of delight that I normally get in a month. Kidding aside. Anyway, I cannot wait to write about my 5-day mini vacation and let you guys know how fun it was; I am torn between writing about it and creating a video about it.. I don’t know what must I do first. (Yeah I know, I still owe you guys two more videos–Italy and Morocco trip– the thing with these two is that I don’t think I have enough materials/videos to create a 3-min long compilation) For now, let me just leave you with my Sunday Currently entry since it’s the last Sunday of August.

CURRENTLY

Reading
my previous Sunday Currently posts; just wondering about the stuff that I did the past weeks.

Writing
hmm… now I feel like I must write about my 5-day US trip. I want to tell you guys how AMAZING Coldplay is!!!! How spectacular their show was! Although no words can fairly express how great they were during their concert so I guess I’ll be posting just a blank entry about it– for they left me speechless as well.

Listening
Up&Up by Coldplay– on loop since this afternoon. This song is giving me all the right feels in the world. After hearing them perform this song live, I always find myself getting all sorts of emotions every time I listen to it. It kind of makes me sad and kind of happy at the same time (but I guess more on the sad side)(??) perhaps because it was their last act that evening– and the fact that the show was about to end made me really sad. Listening to it now brings me back to my emotional state during that moment;

Sad.. and happy.. but more on the sad side. *sniffs*

You’re welcome.

Thinking
about what September has in store for me. And what caused the rashes on my cheeks.

Smelling
the cherry scent of the candle I have in my room plus the smell of coffee from my mouth (gross) I hate coffee breath.

Wishing
for Coldplay to perform here in the Philippines. Said I won’t be rejoicing about any “confirmation” that Coldplay will be coming here; unless I see a legit poster with legit information, ha! But I think #ColdplayLiveInManila will happen sometime next year, not to jinx anything or what but let’s just wish and wait for it to happen.

Hoping
for a great September. Ahhh, Ber months! Bilis! How did time go by that quick? I can still remember tweeting about July-na Magdangal and cracking August 2,3,4 jokes with Bossing. (#PAANO) and oh, Marvin August10!

Wearing
my pambahay; an Aldub shirt given by a certain fans club and shorts. I spent the whole day at home resting since I am still feeling a bit under the weather since Tuesday.. but I am glad my colds are gone now! For some reason I find having colds worse than having a fever.

Loving
the Coldplay concert. Kulit eh, bakit ba I’m still on a high!

Wanting
to eat something really hot and really spicy. Ramen sounds good right now but I think I had ramen three times already this week which is….. not good…. still, I am craving. Or Laksa naman! It’s been a while since the last time I had Laksa!

Needing
nothing; right now I don’t feel like I need anything. Basta happy ako sa Coldplay, haha! Kulit.

Feeling
happy nga! Happy talaga ako sa Coldplay. Haha! It’s not something you can get over so easily! If you only knew how much I love them, you’d understand. And if you only knew how wonderful their songs are and how stunning Chris Martin’s voice is, ugggh you’d understand even more. Ganito kasi yan eh.. there are only 4 major things that I look forward to in this life;
1. See Coldplay perform live
2. Get married
3. Have kids
4. Be lost
Simple lang. I am not even kidding with number 1. Number 2 and 3 comes with living a happy and fruitful life– I hope. Number 4? Nevermind, but I know some of you are looking forward to it as well. *evil laugh?* Hihi! Anyway I am also feeling hungry. Food, anybody?

That’s it, basically this post just shows how glad I am for seeing Coldplay. I hope to see them again before the year ends and then next year and then the year after that and in the years to come– I will never get tired. That’s the thing about loving; if you love someone so dearly you won’t ever get tired of them. Right? Sometimes? Yeah, in some cases.

Hope you guys had a great week and I wish you a greater week ahead. Have a happy September, everybody!

Selena Gomez Live in Manila

Not to make this post long, just want to give you a recap on how I spent the last day of July. I was supposed spend the day at home resting but I had a shoot scheduled today so Sunday became a working day for me. (just today!) So ayun na nga, I had to be up early for my 10am call time at the Carillo’s house for a TVC shoot (Our home in My Bebe Love!) It was very unusual for me to work for a TVC shoot on a Sunday, also during daytime because I usually do them after Eat Bulaga so I am used to shooting at dusk and finishing at dawn. Anyway, while having myself dolled up for the actual shoot, I thought about Selena Gomez’s concert tonight. Considering the fact that I LOVE Selena, I really didn’t plan on watching her concert for some reason. Anyway, a part of me suddenly felt the need to see her. It was around 2 in the afternoon when I decided that I want to watch her concert so I immediately asked Kuya Mike (my handler) and Ate Pat if they could get tickets for the show tonight. I said I wouldn’t mind being seated anywhere the arena for as long as I get to witness her perform live– I could be at the General Admission section, keri lang. I think it was at around 5 in the afternoon when they told me that they already found tickets. Thank goodness! We finished the shoot at 9 then rushed to Mall of Asia arena straight away to catch the show. Selena was already performing when we got there but I am glad that we made it!

“That’s how it works”

I’ve been in the industry for a year already. How time flies! (Parang 4 na buwan palang!) And in a span of a year, there are a lot of things that I have learned and figured out–both good and bad– that I didn’t know about before. After all the things that I have done and been into, I have come to realize a lot of things..

Recently I have been wondering about the current happenings around; and there is this one incident that made me question some things. (Not to mention what that incident was about) but it was something that I did not expect to happen because I did not think it was appropriate to be done. So I asked this certain someone about it, and the only thing that she said to me was “That’s how it (show business) works.” That response made me question everything; it was the kind of response I did not expect to come from someone who is very perceptive when it comes to these things–also from someone who’s very close to me. It was shocking though I did try to apprehend her perspective, but in the end I still failed to get her stance about the whole matter. Anyway, the whole thing is basically about *clears throat* pleasing people.

Hi! Finally! I am able to access my own blog after a long time…ish. I know I am posting a Sunday Currently entry when it’s technically Monday already–time check, it’s four in the morning– well, I just feel like getting my fingertips to work a bit before I hit the sheets. (I know I am going to regret staying up late on a Sunday evening for I have to wait until Saturday to catch up on the sleep I missed today, but oh well, c’est la vie!) Just to let you guys know, we are on to the last week of June! Oh God, we are already halfway through the year! O kay bilis nga naman ng panahon..

CURRENTLY

Reading
reviews about some stuff I am planning to get online. Yeap, I am doing online shopping at 4 in the morning. Talk about having the world’s biggest mall at your fingertips! The only struggle is, you don’t get to see the actual product. Oh! And the long wait for your purchases to arrive!

Screen Shot 2016-06-27 at 2.10.46 AM

And of course, shipping fees. Ugh.

Writing
nothing, sadly. This is the only the time I get to use my laptop again and I don’t think I’d be able to compose an entry about how my life has been doing lately or an entry about Italy (I know, I know..) but I will! Soon! If I get a chance to take a day off or something to catch up on some things. I do really miss writing! And it’s sad that I am not doing it as often as I used to before. Hindi bale..

Listening
to Deep by Binocular. Early 2000s playlist at dawn!

Thinking
what’s going to happen today. Surely, it’s going to be a loooooooong day for me–as usual.

Smelling
nail polish fumes.

Wishing
for a pleasant week! Positivity everybody, that’s what we need.

Hoping
for 13th of July to come quick! Yes, I cannot wait to see Imagine You and Me as well! Naeexcite din ako to see the outcome of our project! Crossing my fingers for a successful film!

Wearing
a skintight satin top and neon shorts! Wore my sleepwear before I left home earlier so I could go straight to bed when I get here at the condo…. eh hindi. Puyat pa more!

Loving
our movie trailer that was shown last Saturday. I cannot remember how many times I played it today. Ewan ko ba, makes me even more excited for the premiere! How did you guys find it? Hope you liked it!

Wanting
to write more and read more. There are plenty of things I need to catch up on.. first and foremost is my planner diary; I used to update it at the end of the week and write the chain of events that occurred in detail, but for some reason I could not find time to open it anymore.
Another mistake was I failed to bring it with me to Italy; now how am I supposed to recall what we did throughout the time of our stay in Europe? Composing a detailed blog entry about it would be a struggle.

Needing
more time for myself.

Feeling
happy and excited for the movie! I know some of you guys are, too! Well, we’ll have to wait for two more weeks! Gusto ko na din talaga mapanuod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that’s it! I just really wanted to write and update my blog. Oh Pessimistic Optimist Bella, please don’t crash! Just to let you guys know, I don’t get to access my blog as well every time it exceeds its bandwidth limit and it usually takes a month for it to function again. I know I need to get another server and get everything fixed but, syaka na pag may time! Anyway, I wish to have more time to write new stuff and continue Lost & Found. My fingers are always itching to write!

Positive thought to start the week: You are in charge of how you feel; always choose happiness. 🙂

Have a great week, everybody!

Nicomaine-chella

It was a month ago..

when it all happened.

It was the first of March when Nicomainechella happened. A lot of you have been questioning me
“When are you going to post your blog about your birthday?”
“Why aren’t you writing about it yet?”
“Why did you post the Bora trip with Alden first?”
“Aren’t you happy with the surprise party?”
It’s funny how some people are tweeting me about how much they “dislike” me because I posted the Bora trip first, and not this. Enebe geysh, ete ne. I promised to write a separate entry about the two, so here it is! Narrating what happened on the 1st of March, 2016. Continue reading “Nicomaine-chella”

Bora Escapade

So here it is.. the much-awaited Boracay trip. (I was so busy taking videos that I forgot that I need photos, too! Argh! Should have kept my snapchat story that day!) It was really my 21st birthday celebration. I have not been to Bora yet–in my twenty years of existence–and this time I wanted to celebrate my 21st at the island. I thought of it two weeks before my birthday. I thought it wouldn’t be possible because of my daily stint at Eat Bulaga, but gladly the bosses granted my birthday request.

The original plan was to spend the weekend at Boracay with some of my EB friends (Sunday until Tuesday)–along with Alden. I invited him to join us two weeks before my birthday, he said he’ll try his best to organize his schedule so he could come. Knowing Alden’s mega hectic schedule, I did not really expect that he’ll be able to join us; but I did hope that he could do something about it, since it’s my birthday. (Plus, he pinky promised that he will try his very best!) I kept on asking him for updates day by day because I don’t want to get too excited and end up disappointed in the end. It was on Monday (2 days before my birthday and 5 days before the Bora trip) when he sent me a text message from his management saying they couldn’t do anything about the commitment Alden has to carry through on the same date of my planned celebration.  Few days before, he was asking me such things like “So yung Sunday yung parang free day natin?” “Ang balik natin is Tuesday morning?” which led me to the assumption that there’s a big chance that he’d come.
I didn’t respond to his message for I was really sad at that moment. “Ang aga aga, Lunes na Lunes tapos ganto mababasa mo?!” I was mentally shrieking. It was also on that day when he told me during the Sugod Bahay portion “May surprise ako sayo sa birthday mo sa Thursday, tapos sa Saturday and after Saturday.” which made me feel even more annoyed. I responded with “Wag ako Alden, funny ako.” instead of “Ano, nangaasar ka ba talaga Alden?!”. Even so, I still had this feeling that he MIGHT surprise me but I just shrugged the thought of it; I don’t want to end up disappointed again!

Sobrang matampuhin ako, I don’t know if you guys know about that. Sobra. Yung tampo ko could last for weeks! Pinaka matagal na ata yung two weeks. Going back.. nagtampo ako kay Alden. (lol) I stand corrected- six days ang tampo ko (Monday til Saturday), not four, as I had mistakenly declared. Haha! I kept on telling Ate Pat every single day how upset I was, yet she also kept on saying “Wag ka na malungkot, gagawa ng paraan yun.” People around me kept on giving clues but I persisted in ignoring all of it. Pero gets ko na eh, at the back of my mind I was already thinking.. “Ay susunod to.” (ang assuming lang diba? But everybody was indirectly letting me know about the “surprise”) but like I have said I don’t want to contemplate the possibility of him surprising me in Boracay. Posible naman but I honestly don’t think he’s up for that kind of stuff. Oh well bahala nalang, basta I shall enjoy my first Boracay experience with the people I am with.

I am finally on vacation! Wooot! Life’s been a little hectic lately and I have been waiting for this week to come. I am sleep deprived at this point (surely, you could tell) and I have been craving and needing sleep! Eto na ang tamang panahon to catch up on sleep I have missed the past few days and to unwind as well! I am happy to be here at a beach resort somewhere at South with the family. Yes you read that right, I am not in New York.. I wish I was there, though!

CURRENTLY

Reading
tweets about the presidential debate. People on my Twitter timeline have so many things to say and to rant about the debate while I’m just here lying on my bed reading, blogging and watching.

Writing
The Sunday Currently vol. 5! I am also going to write about our Bora trip and SMU’s (Solid Maine United) surprise birthday party sometime this week! I know you have been waiting (for weeks now!) for those entries to be posted here on my blog! But bear with me if I don’t get to post them this week, basta I promise to make an entry about those two! Stay put lang kayo dyan!

Listening
to the presidential debate! They are now currently playing the pre-dabate footage. Ang benta lang!

Thinking
about getting something to eat. I have mad cravings for frozen yogurt and churros since yesterday! AHHHHHHH someone get me those asaaaap!

Smelling
freshly laundered sheets here at the resort. I am in heaven and I am going to sleep like a baby tonight. There’s a big chance that I’ll be spending the whole day tomorrow lying on my bed, cuddling with my pillows.

Wishing
to dream about me being in the States– New York to be specific. I badly want to go there, I swear I’d trade anything to be there at this moment! Well I actually planned on spending the Holy week at New York–by myself–but I know my parents won’t allow me to so I didn’t push it through. Sayang, I was about to book a ticket already! But soon, I hope.. 🙂

Hoping
for a fun-filled vacay with the fam! Hope I could also go on a mini getaway with my friends before this week ends! S/o to Kat, Janeeva, Maryse, Jannica, Cristine and Ola, yuhoo!

Wearing
a silk night gown– my fave sleep wear.

Loving
the fact that I am at the beach again! Third time this month, yeeeeaaaaauugh I am a happy girl! You know how much I love (being at) the beach! Oh tara Maldives naman!

Wanting
to be a productive “blogger” this week. Since I won’t be having any work the whole week, I think it’s the perfect time for me to catch up and blog about the things that has happened the past few weeks. Priority ang surprise party and Bora trip! Most requested!

Needing
more time to edit videos! And extra time to catch up on Awkward.

Feeling
happy that I’ll get to slack off be at leisure this week! I badly need this time off for the following weeks and months would be hella busy for me. Pero kebs! Kaya to, para sa ikauunlad ng pagkatao ko! Pak ganoin!

How did your Sunday go? What are you guys up to this Holy Week? Enjoy your vacation! Oh and don’t forget to watch Eat Bulaga’s Lenten Special this week!
