So a party was held at our pad last Sunday; it was our friends’ birthday celebration. And it was (un)fortunately held in our unit for this is the most (and the only) convenient place to throw a party. I’ve never actually been to an “American” party (or a house party for that matter) in my nineteen years of existence, so I think I’ll have to say this has got to be my first time.
I got off work at two in the afternoon that day so I had the rest of the day to prepare for the party in the evening. I’d love to say I had the rest of the day to actually REST (to get some sleep because I have work the next day at 6am) but I unluckily didn’t get any. Going back, people started coming at 8pm but the actual “party” started at around 11. Well, what do you expect? And since this is a house party and since we are in America, A LOT of people showed up. The house was jam-packed; 80% friends/associates 20% strangers. Most people were servers from Bella AM shift so I’m quite familiar with each of them for I get to see them every day.
I decided to”have a blast” that night, just to make up for all the drinking sessions I’ve missed. I always had/have to go to bed early (for the sake of work) so I actually never get to bond x drink with my friends. They are actually drinking at this very moment and here I am, in front of my laptop..so yup I guess I’ll have to deal with this for the duration of my stay here. Anyway, pictures.
With the birthday girls! Happy 22nd Chico and 21st Julie!!!
We were the highlight of the night! I mean.. literally.
I was NOT on my ‘party pooper’ mode that night which means.. I got drunk. (Jeez I just hate using the word ‘drunk’ when I’m talking about myself) Well, just a little. I guess I drank a lot of I-don’t-know-what-hard-drink-was-that. But no beer! (#beerhater) Failed to distinguish if I was drunk or not because my indication of being intoxicated (which is speaking straight English) was not recognizable anymore. I’m with Americans so I am required to speak in English, if you know what I mean. Basically the party consisted of beers (LOTS OF BEERS), vodkas, tequilas, good music and not-so-bad company.
That’s Gordon and Zach, in case you are wondering who those guys are; Zach’s a line cook at Bella and Gordon’s the sous chef. Yes, THE sous chef of The Sagamore. Well, they kind of passed out and since Filipinos are very good and hospitable people, we didn’t hesitate to ask them to stay in for the night.
It all ended at 5 in the morning and since I have work at six, I went straightly to the hotel. Yes, I didn’t get to sleep at all.. I was up for almost 24 hours. Do you imagine how awful I looked and how groggy I felt while working? I felt like I was literally a zombie for a day. Whatever, it was worth it. I had fun. Well, I chose to have fun so..
